  • Richbrook Seat Covers. Clean AND Safe!

Car carSeat covers! They’re useful little blighters aren’t they? Saving your interior from the everyday detritus of dirt, grease, dog hair, drinks and food. Problem is, although seat covers score very highly on the functional and practical scale, very few are designed to work properly with the current raft of side airbag seats. In fact, certain designs can actually stop them deploying effectively, leading to possibly catastrophic consequences…

Leading accessory manufacturer Richbrook has addressed this important problem by designing an incredibly hard wearing and waterproof car seat cover that not only looks and performs the part, but also allows all known SRS systems to work as they should, protecting the occupants as well as the upholstery.

The Richbrook seat cover uses Lycra stretch panels on both sides to make for a more snug ‘tailored’ look and usefully, the tough wipe-clean fabric also covers the entire seat back, right to the base, meaning that if any junior rear seat passengers fancy doing their own rendition of ‘Riverdance’ behind you, they won’t be leaving any footprints on your treasured fabric. Best of all, the backrest section features a ‘Rigitube’ insert which precisely fits into the gap between it and the seat squab, allowing the cover to precisely follow the seat contours and making for a supremely comfortable perch.

Priced at just £22.95 and available in a subtly branded Richbrook design, it’s a small price to pay for total protection. Don’t find out the hard way that your seat cover doesn’t work with SRS systems!

We have seen many car seat covers in our time but there is something different about these, they have style!! Richbrook Seat Covers FTW!!!!

You can buy these seat covers directly from Maxxd NOW and have them delivered directly to your front door!! We accept paypal payments for instant payment, same day despatch before 12NOON!

  • Öhlins Release BMW E90 Road and Track Suspension Kit

Respected suspension maestro Öhlins has released the new benchmark in road-friendly, track-ready suspension for the BMW E90. The near-perfect balance of Munich’s super-saloon is the perfect recipient for the unique features of the Öhlins kit, which finally solves the puzzle of how to achieve a truly comfortable ride from competition-quality units.

Build quality is exceptional, with carbon-steel bodies and flawlessly anodised detailing. Öhlins’ pioneering dual-flow valve technology means that despite their light weight and slim-line profile, the Road and Track kit responds to road undulations in exactly the same manner as a traditional Macpherson strut set-up. The use of needle valves in the damping unit also means that even when the oil gets hot after a hard session on the circuit or ‘B’ road, the damping rate is kept absolutely consistent, even when the viscosity of the damping fluid changes.

Height adjustment is achieved by simple adjustment of the precision-machined threaded body and damping and rebound are tweaked simultaneously in one simple twist of the easily accessible knurled knob; allowing the supermarket run to be clicked off with limo-style smoothness and after a few seconds of adjustment, track days to be dispatched with racecar precision.

This unparalleled quality helps to explain Öhlins 2 year warranty and thanks to their racing heritage, each unit is fully serviceable and even upgradeable, should requirements or car specs change.

The complete kit is priced at  £1844.90 + VAT

  • Cobra Citroen DS3 Spring Upgrade Package Out Now!

The launch of the new Citroen DS3 has caused ripples of excitement throughout the motor industry. The French manufacturer has seemingly found its ‘Mojo’ again and is producing exciting hot hatches in the idiom of the tuner’s favourite, the much-loved Saxo.

The new Cobra kit drops the attractive 3 door by a tasteful and practical 30mm. More on the lesser engined variants. By lowering the car’s centre of gravity, both turn and traction mid-corner are greatly improved whilst driver feedback and enjoyment are considerably heightened.

The Cobra range is simply vast and covers almost the entire range of Citroen cars from 1980s to the present day – even including the AX, Picasso and ZX versions. A huge range of variants are available, meaning that drops as subtle as 20mm or as serious as 50mm are available. As well as improved stance, the Cobra springs offer pin-point turn-in and greater chassis feedback, despite the superb levels of ride comfort that are still maintained.

The heat-treated springs are powder-coated for a long and durable life – even on the UK’s salted winter roads. Each spring is cold formed for accuracy before being heat treated for strength and durability. Finally, each and every spring is shot-peened to pre-fatigue the spring and eliminate sagging. This lengthy production process explains Cobra’s confidence in their product, their class-leading warranty and full TUV approval. Prices have yet to be confirmed, but are expected to be in-line with the rest of the Cobra range.
