The Ford Mustang GT-based Shelby Super Snake delivers a meaty 825 hp, and now it’s available with a speedster body. If you’re interested you had better be quick, as just 98 examples will be built for the 2021 model year.

A car even more exclusive than the Super Snake speedster is the new Huayra R from Pagani. The car is the spiritual successor to the Zonda R launched in 2009, and it packs a newly developed V-12 that spits out 850 hp without the need for forced induction or electrification.

Gordon Murray’s first drive in a GMA T.50 prototype

Another supercar in the headlines this week was the T.50 from Gordon Murray Automotive. Prototypes are currently being tested ahead of the start of deliveries in 2022.

2020 Porsche Macan GTS

One of the cars we tested this week was the Porsche Macan GTS, which was updated for 2020. While it may not have huge dollops of power, it somehow manages to deliver an engaging driving experience unmatched by other crossovers.

2021 BMW M3

Another car we tested was the redesigned 2021 BMW M3, which might just be the best example of the nameplate yet. While it follows a familiar formula, BMW has mixed things up a bit with the addition of all-wheel drive.

BMW presented two of its next-generation electric vehicles this week. One is a mid-size crossover dubbed the iX, and it starts sales in early 2022. The second is a sleek sport sedan dubbed the i4, which we should also see in dealerships by early 2022.

2022 Kia EV6

Another EV in the headlines this week was Kia’s twin to the recently revealed Hyundai Ioniq 5. Kia’s version is called the EV6, and it’s a crossover styled using the Korean brand’s new Opposites United design philosophy.

2021 Hyundai Staria

And finally, Hyundai unveiled a van called the Staria. It features a design inspired by spaceships and can manage to seat up to 11 thanks to its four rows. Sadly, there are no plans to bring the Staria to the United States.

An early tester for what’s likely to be a full-size SUV from Audi was spotted this week. Such a vehicle is likely to be called the Q9 and target the likes of the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, as well as the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator.

Another SUV spotted testing this week was the next-generation Honda Pilot. The fourth-generation Honda eight-seater is set to feature a more rugged design, a new platform, and more space inside for passengers.

2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer

Jeep finally unveiled its modern Wagoneer, which is being offered for the 2022 model year in regular and upmarket Grand Wagoneer grades. The big SUVs go on sale this summer and priced to start less than $60,000.

Canoo pickup truck

Electric-vehicle startup Canoo revealed a battery-electric pickup truck. It’s promised for delivery in early 2023 and should appeal to both buyers looking for a lifestyle truck or serious workhorse.

This week we learned that one of only 45 Ford GT Mk II supercars destined to be built is headed for auction. This is the lighter, more powerful track-only version of Ford’s GT supercar, which was unveiled in 2019 with a starting price of $1.2 million.

Another rare car up for grabs is an original 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C, one of just 31 ever made. No price has been mentioned but anyone interested will probably need close to $3 million to call it their own. It last traded hands for almost $2.9 million.

Jaguar E-Type 60 Collection

And finally, Jaguar unveiled the first of its “reborn” E-Types honoring the original coupe and convertible used for the nameplate’s 1961 launch in Geneva, Switzerland. The cars are based on donor E-Types and are being sold as pairs.

By 2030, Volvo will have a fully electric lineup and an online sales model just like Tesla. However, we won’t have to wait until then for new electric vehicles from the Swedish brand as it will already have seven available by the middle of the decade. One of the seven was revealed this week in the form of the 2022 C40 Recharge.

Aston Martin is returning to Formula One for the first time since 1960 and has a multiple world champion signed as a driver. We’re talking about Sebastian Vettel, who will be driving the new Aston Martin AMR21 together with Lance Stroll.

2021 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo

Porsche this week launched its first soft-roader wagon in the form of the 2021 Taycan Cross Turismo. It reaches dealerships this summer and will cost you only about $1,500 more than the equivalent Taycan sedan.

One of the cars we spied this week is likely to be the successor to the LaFerrari. It’s also likely to be the car Ferrari enters in the new Le Mans Hypercar class of the World Endurance Championship in 2023.

Another upcoming vehicle we spied this week was the next-generation Maserati GranTurismo due on sale next year. Maserati is testing the new mechanical package under the makeshift body of an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio to keep prying eyes away.

2021 Honda Legend (Japanese spec)

This week we learned that the Acura RLX is alive and well in Japan, only it’s known as a Honda Legend over there. The latest version sports some new electronic driver-assist features rated at Level 3 on the SAE scale of self-driving capability.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus 008 “Mini Boot”

America’s Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus provided an update on its 008. The 008 is a kit car that’s best described as a jacked up, off-road-ready version of SCG’s 004 supercar.

2020 Audi SQ8

And finally, we had a chance to test the 2020 Audi SQ8. The Lamborghini Urus’ German cousin delivers performance and utility in a no compromise, understated package.
