Leading Dutch suspension manufacturer Cobra has launched a range of springs to cater for the superb Suzuki Swift.
The capable hatch won critical acclaim upon its launch as Japan’s answer to the sure footed ‘new’ Mini. Although the Swift is extremely capable ‘out of the box’ the new Cobra Spring upgrades endow it with a new level of composure altogether.
Two variants are available. One set for the 1.3 and 1.5 engined models which drop the car by 35mm – and one for the hotter ‘Sport’ version which takes the already lower chassis down by a further 30mm.
Handling is dramatically improved thanks to the lower centre of gravity, and thanks to a careful choice of spring rate, ride quality is hardly affected. In addition, the Cobra springs are pre-fatigued and heat treated, before being powder-coated to protect them against the elements. This attention to detail is backed by Cobra’s class leading 5 year warranty.
The 1.3/1.5 kit costs £118.25 + VAT and the Sport kit comes in at £122.22 + VAT.

The Eibach Pro-Kit lowers the car by approximately 30mm, bringing the roadster’s centre of gravity closer to terra firma, reducing roll under cornering and endowing the Nissan with an aggressive stance.
The springs are pre-fatigued to eliminate sagging before undergoing Eibach’s OEM-quality surface and paint preparation which is backed by a full 5 year warranty and full TUV approval, The kit is priced at £173.04 + VAT.
